Norit Haffmans develops and manufactures Quality Control and Process Equipment to both recover and manage CO₂ for the beverage industry. Mr. Ernest Haffmans founded the company in 1947 as an agent for the European brewing industry, focussing mainly on the supply of raw materials.

When in the early 1960's Ernest Haffmans decided to develop and assemble Quality Control Equipment, the famous CO₂ Gehaltemeter was born. In the 1970's the activities were extended and Haffmans started to deliver CO₂-Recovery technology.

In 1980 Bert Haffmans succeeded his father and the focus of the company shifted from trading into development, manufacturing and service, focusing on the areas of Quality Control Equipment, Units for Carbonation, Blending, De-aeration and CO₂-Recovery.

In 1998 Norit ‘leading in purification’ became the 100% shareholder in Norit Haffmans and Menno M. Holterman became Managing Director. With customers in more than 150 countries, the Norit Group is real multinational company with strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.

In 2007 was time to celebrate 60^th Norit Haffmans birthday. As a theme of the celebration party, Norit Haffmans choose "Oktoberfest" the biggest beer festival in the world. The same year, Norit Haffmans made a introduction of a new OGM on the world market.

In 2008 Norit Haffmans appointed Olaf Müller as Managing Director. Olaf Müller succeeds Menno M. Holterman, who was appointed as Chief Growth Officer and member of the Executive Board of Directors Norit NV.
