CO2 Analysis Service - Norit Haffmans CO2 analysis laboratory
As a specialist for CO2 recovery and processing Norit Haffmans has many years of experience in the analysis of gaseous CO2. On basis of this experience we are able to analyse a considerable amount of foreign components in CO2 gas. These analysis are even in the lower ppb-range essential for the beverage industry. Within the framework of its CO2 Analysis Service Norit Haffmans supplies high quality analysis equipment and CO2 know-how in this field. The CO2 Analysis Service focuses on companies that want to have foreign- or fermentation- CO2 examined for the presence of certain components. Furthermore a functional diagnoses can be made by analysing the testing results of several samples taken from different points in the installation.
Test analysis After obtaining the test bag from the customer a GC analysis will immediately be performed in the Norit Haffmans laboratory. Depending on the customer's order, the analysis will either determine the organic components or the organic components and the H2S. The following characteristic components will be analysed:

Diagnosis of the CO2 Recovery installation The gas chromatograph diagram displayed below show the organic by-products of the fermentation in the CO2 during the purifying process. The water-soluble components are removed to a considerable extent, after the activated carbon filter/dryer hardly any traces of impurities can be detected.
Commercial CO2 The lower gas chromatograph diagram shows the analysis of commercial CO2 of chemical origin. The unambiguous recognizability of toluene and benzene traces is remarkable. This chromatograph diagram also shows the sensitivity of modern analysis instruments for these components and the necessity of an exact examination of CO2.
