In the beer and beverage industry, the content of dissolved carbon dioxide (CO2) is decisive to the quality and taste of beer and carbonated beverages. Therefore, breweries as well as soft drink manufacturers continuously control and measure the CO2 quantity of bottled or canned beverages.
The Norit Haffmans Inpack Series is used for the determination of the dissolved CO2 and air content in carbonated beverages and for the creation of reproducible foam quality analysis.
The Inpack CO2 calculator (ICC) allows for a fast and reproducible determination of the CO2 content in bottles and cans based on Heny’s Law.
The Inpack CO2 meter (ICM / ICD) allows for a reliable and fast determination of the equilibrium pressure. After measuring the temperature of the liquid the CO2 content is determined by means of the Norit Haffmans slide rule based on Henry’s Law.
In combination with the ICC, ICD or ICM, the Inpack air meter (IAM) determines the air content in the head space and the total air content of the package. Available in two measuring ranges: 0-20ml for beverages with low and 0-36ml for beverages with higher air contents.
For the sampling of beverages from bottles of cans we have the inpack sampling device, type ISD. This Inpack device takes samples of beverages without changing the foam behavior and air intake. Norit Haffmans also has devices for sampling beverages from tanks, pipings, or kegs with the same characteristics as the Inpack type ISD. With this device there are no changes in the foam behavior and air intake as well.
Norit Haffmans is a reliable supplier of quality control and in-line equipment and CO2 recovery systems that help you stay in control of the quality of your end products. Our systems have been used by the brewing and beverage industry for years.
