Pasteurization
Through pasteurization the number of micro-organisms in beer and beverages are reduced and consequently their shelve life increased. To maintain the quality of your product with regard to smell, taste, brightness and color, pasteurization should be a gentle heat treatment. The most commonly used method of pasteurization makes use of a tunnel pasteurizer, through which containers, like glass bottles or cans, travel while being sprayed with warm water. The effect of heat treatment in relation to time is expressed in pasteurization units (PUs). Different types of Redpost PU-Monitors are used for measuring the pasteurization process. The Red Post PU-Monitor, type RPU-353 is a three-channel monitor that monitors the process and in addition measures the pressure in the same container during the process. It checks the spray water temperature and the pressure inside the container. After the pasteurizing process is finished the PUs are displayed immediately on the PU monitor. You have perfect process control and save costs as well.
